As part of the cultural programme organised by the municipality of Lahnau, a special organ recital took place at the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in Dorlar. The performers touched and delighted the audience with their accomplished and musically sophisticated interpretations.

Organist Michael Harry Poths, who holds a Master of Arts degree, gave a masterful performance on the organ, while his wife, Nicole Yvonne Poths, enchanted the audience with her clear and expressive soprano voice.

The programme offered a wonderful blend of Baroque and Classical music. The works performed included compositions by great masters such as Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. These pieces were interpreted with precision and profound musical sensitivity, captivating the audience and filling the church with a harmonious atmosphere.

Michael Harry Poths impressed with his ability to showcase the organ's full tonal range. Every passage was carefully shaped to bring out the character of the individual composition. Nicole Yvonne Poths complemented the organ music beautifully with her soprano voice, whose clarity and expressiveness made a deeply moving impression. Her singing added another compelling dimension to the classical melodies.

In conclusion, the organ recital was a great success and yet another testament to the importance of high-quality musical performances. This was also emphasised by Ursula Claudi, First Deputy Mayor, in her words of thanks. She also expressed her gratitude to the organising team of Department IV and the social coordinator.
